Do I need to get an EPC survey done?
If you are going to sell or let out your property UK law requires you to have a valid Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). You can check if your property currently has an EPC here. If it shows as expired or if none shows at all, you will need to obtain an EPC before you can proceed any further.
EPC's always require an on-site survey to be conducted by an accredited Domestic Energy Assessor followed by a paperwork lodgement with UK government EPC register.
How do I get an EPC?
Call, text, Whatsapp, request a call back or email us. After a few questions such as location and property type we will give you a price and arrange a mutually convenient time for our assessor to visit your property.
We conduct our assessment. This is a non invasive internal walk round of your property and involves nothing more than taking measurements, noting the features present in the property and taking some photographs.
Finalise and Lodge EPC. Back in the office, we will use specialist software to prepare the EPC and it will be published on the Government register.
Certificate and information sent to you. Once lodged we will send you a copy of your EPC and information about how to interpret it.
It really is as simple as that!
We are more than happy to answer any questions and we can usually accommodate any time frame required.
Where can I get more information?
If you would like more information we have written a much more detailed article about Energy Performance Certificates here.
